Afterwards, you can repeat the exercise the next day, this time running at a higher speed but reducing the intervals to 1 kilometer laps. Again, record the number of steps you have taken to cover the distance and repeat until you have done 3 kilometers to 5 kilometers depending on your preference. During this time, make sure you do not have injuries that can cause you to favor one leg over another.

Simply total the whole distance you ran over the last two days and do the same for the number of steps taken. Divide the first number, converted to meters, with the second and you now have a reliable stride length that should be accurate to a hundred meters assuming you don’t change your gait.
